About My Book
“Shards of a Broken Mystery: Restoring Hekate and our Divine Feminine Soul”
Creating a relationship with the world beyond our ego-driven life is, in fact, essential to evolving our humanity. We must be informed by the extraordinary nature of the human psyche, including its spiritual instinct. Many people fear the nature and power of their inner world, their psycho-spiritual reality; however, it is the most natural source of becoming all we might be. I’ve written a book that opens the window to the principles of this kind of feminine power and wisdom. For men as well as women.
The connection I have written about in my book—with a mythological being called Hekate was natural to me. Hekate has illuminated the instinctual life of the Feminine Principle for me as a saving grace not yet imagined in the present-day patriarchal milieu. Hekate’s value in me was no less than to feel the full ground of my inner authority, to express the truth of my soul.
In Greece, Hekate she was a pre-Olympian Goddess who aided Zeus in the battle against the Titans. Originally, she was Goddess of the wild places, childbirth and the crossroads. These are all in between spaces that are associated with the spirit world; for the wilderness is not yet tame, birth is the moment of life where death stands in waiting and the three ways crossroads intersect at a point that is between all the directions. She was called upon by the ancients to provide protection and wisdom at these critical points.
